Scarlet lime rocks!!!!

So, today definately got a good start. I just found out that I won a chatterbox give away on the scarlet lime blog. They're having great giveaways in connection with their 1 year anniversary, but I haven't had high hopes of actually winning anything among 700 - 800 posters. Well, today I did. Can't wait to get it. On top of that, I was featured in today's scarlet lime newsletter - well one of my projects was, lol. I made this cute frame for my two lovely nieses with the june project kit:

I also made these two LOs with the same kit. If you can't read the title, it says: "The best vitamin to be a happy person is B1"
Have a fantastic sunday everyone!!!

MLS sketch #9

The new MLS sketch challenge went online yesterday, so be sure to check it out. Here's my LO, made with the sonora high SIStv kit. Like I said in my last post, this is not the kind of colors I would normally use and it was quite a challenge to make something with it that fits my style. Still I'm quite happy with the outcome, bright, but kinda cool.

Dutch Dare #46 Lussekatter

We're having another Dutch Dare at the MLS blog. This time we dare you to make a LO or a project about your favorite recipe. My LO is about a scandinavian traditional recipe, Lussekatter. We make them for St. Lucia day on dec. 13th. and they are delicious, mmmm. On the pictures, Jonas is 3 1/2 and such a good helper. We made up a hole bunch and brought them to school. Mats' classmates were enthusiastic (except a few that never tries new food, lol), and I came back with an empty basket...... We'd love to see what you come up, so don't forget to post a link to your creations. Winner gets a RAK.

I'm published in Vi Scrapper!

In the beginning of august there was a new issue of the norwegian magazine Vi scrapper out. This time I had 3 LOs in it, but the best thing was; it was MY photo on the front page! It was such a weired feeling to find the magazine in the mail and see my buttons on there. It was a detail picture from my "Flower"-LO. Here are some pictures of the magazine, the original picture and the LOs that were published.

12/12 challenge august - finally

So, I finally finished my 12/12 august LO. Quite a weired one this time, but so fun to do. I was inspired by a LO by Michelle Guray from the dares to make a picture heart and I made the background paper by stamping the date all over white cardstock. Fun, fun!

{ManiaSommer} challenge - one more LO

I loved this challenge so much, I was inspired to make one more LO. Flowers, flowers and more flowers, love flowers. And love my sewing machine. I played around with sewing on letters, and believe me, it's not that easy. Aspecially if the sentence is supposed to be curvy, well it looks kinda cute, and I LOVE the little heart. Hope I can win some flowers now, ManiaGirls!!!!
..Oh, AND don't forget to check out the dare blog. Mandy has made the cutest little present, a polkadot mirror.

Awards and Dutch Dare #46 Preview

I'm a bad blogger at the moment. I've got a lot going on with different assignments +++. Today my dear father in law came to stay the week. I love it when he comes to visit. He's definately the sweetest and cooles father in law anyone could have. This also means my scraproom is occupied, and I'll have less opportunity to get things done. To add on this, I've been awarded by two great girls, Mi@ and brita and I'm very honored. Thank you girls, I really appreciate it. And then I feel bad, cause I really don't have the time to figure out who to pass them on to, there's to many and I don't know who's has them already. So please, bare with me. Here are the awards and please check out these girls blogs, they both make beautiful stuff:

Also, we're having a new dutch dare comming up on wednesday. Here's a preview:

Need to run down and socialize....

ScrappeMania challenge {ManiaSommer}

Busy, busy, busy. I have been a single mom this week as my dh was in Portland, now I'm tired.... Have done a lot of creating though, but most of it is stuff I can't share yet. Some of it is stuff for a guest designer assignment and boy have I been having fun. The stuff I got to use was all "Vintage" style, and since I'm normally not a vintage scrapper, I had to really turn my brain for this one. All good though. I love a challenge...Turn in in September for more on this part..... I've had a go on the {ManiaSommer} challenge where the challenge was to use LOTS of flowers. There really are a LOT of flowers on this LO if you count the flowers on the design paper AND on the photo. And I have got 2 handmade ones; the green felt flower is handcut AND hand sewn and the crocketed flower is made by my mother. Thanks Mom! I'm quite happy with my little hand cut butterfly as well. I put hidden journaling behind the picture. The little flower picking guy on the photo is Mats at the age of 20 monts. At the age of 7 1/2 he is still a flower picking guy, picking flowers for mom everywhere we go...

I'm sorry about the poor quality of the photo. Since my good old canon rebel is broken, I had to use the compact camera and the colors are way off and so is the sharpness.... It's just not the same, sigh.... Thankfully my dh will bring a brand new canon SLR camera tomorrow - the newest of the newest - so no need to feel sorry for me..LOL. Point is; don't judge my LO on this poor picture...

Take a pic challenge - GLASS

Todays challenge is to photograph GLASS. Here are my entries. My favorite must be the "Vine with a view" picture, which was taken by my husband while staying at the most gorgeous beach house I've ever seen; located at the Neskowin beach on the Oregonian cost. Just look at that view... and the pic is taken whilst sitting on the sofa in the living room...need I say more?

This is a glassy part of downtown Portland, OR.

Beautiful artsy glass in Almere, Holland

Another Portland pic taken at a photo workshop with Peter Schütte, a dutch photographer living in Portland. This is a mirrored glass building where you can see other buildings reflected in quite an artsy way. I took loads of cool pics at this workshop, and this is one of my favorites. TFL!

Take a pic challenge - RED

This weeks challenge on take a pic is to take pictures with the color RED. Here are my favorite RED pictures.... Last week the challenge was to photograph numbers, but since I was on vacation without internet access, I thought I'd combine both challenges (numbers and red) in the 4 last pictures.
